 usually animals are percussion.a very quick electric shock that kills the animal most instantaneously and doesn't cause any harm to the meat. other ways are knocking it out by carbon dioxide. you can also shock the motor nerves in its body with a really low voltage to the point they dont feel anything. just a slight tingle. the nervous system of an animal is much more resilient to feeling pain caused by electric shock. last but not least the most commonly used is a penetrating bolt slaughter. this is pretty much a small pistol like gun that will fire a pin into the animal, this is used the most since it is the most effective and quickest way to subdue an animal.
