Maybe his fork has some defects or something. I dont know what he did, but maybe it was bad luck. I've got my 66 almost 4 years, and there's nothing wrong with steer tube. One day I didnt reach landing on this fork (more than 3m drop) and my bike should torn in half, but didnt. Headtube is still ok, top and down tube same.
