My new CUSTOM built rig! 2005 Giant AC1 w/ TONS of goodies. *Bike is built up from parts acquired specifically for the use of aggressive AM/trail riding. **Frame was sandblasted after purchase, and then sent out for Powdercoat. ***THANKS to ALL my PB peoples that made it possible for me to get what I needed for this build.

You are correct about the paint. When I bought the frame it was in decent cosmetic condition. I just didn't really like the Oyster Pearl color. Plus, I had a vision of what I wanted the rig to look like once it was complete.
I sent the frame to a local sandblaster, and from there took it to a local place for powder coat. The powder coat turned out AWESOME, and is ridiculously durable.

What kind of Giant are you building up?
