 actually it depends personally i think riding clips would be good if youre run is alot of tech rock gardens and roots then they are helpful but in the case of the picture where its smoother clips are no good because when youre pinning it you dont want this to happen

 yer but how many tracks have you ridden where every single bit it techy roots or rocks, with absolutely NO flat stuff at all. and actually clips are more useful on flat because you can pedal waaay more

 trails in newfoundland canada are pretty much all rocks and roots and very steep so when youre riping down over it it gets hard to stay on the pedals. this is our trails www.pinkbike.com/video/77845
