Ha sounds like you had lots of the same snakes I did. I had both southern brown and Rhombic egg eaters, Aurora's, olives and a few skaap stekers ha. My fav exotics were my royal python and my yellow anaconda which NEVER tamed down, got nailed every time. Hope you had a blerrie grab stick!
I've never seen a brown egg eater in person, but the rhombic guys are sexy as hell! Had a skaapsteker for a lil bit too... never had a royal, but they are one of my favs & screw anacondas, I didn't handle her much because of it. Haha grab sticks are for girls, cooler box & broom, ghetto style baby! haha
Haha I guess a broom and cooler box would be ok for one of these. Would like to see you take a mamba home using that method Saw one badass mamba up in Hluhluwe and not a single cell in my body said "Hey lets catch this boy" I legged it ha.
hahaha, yeah, mambas, no thanks! I'm a little brave, not stupid! hahaha I saw cobras mating & was about 2-3m from them, they turned around to leave, but being stuck together in the bush made it a bit tricky, the looks I got when they turned around made me realise my voyeuristic stay needed to come to an end & told my buddy to bolt before we were in the shit.
ack! puff adder! i saw some snakes in aus a few years back, not too many in canada. such a beautiful animal. i was just watching this honey badger eat a puff adder. now the honey badger, thats a crazy animal. check it out.
yeah, they're immune to the poison, just pass out & wake up & carry on eating. Crazy strong lil bastards those guys. My dad did a lot of work with them a few yrs back. That's one animal you don't want to piss off! Puff Adders are slightly more friendly & not as fast
Had to remove it from someone's garden less than a km from my house. Yeah, I had loads of snakes as a kid, puffy's are not my kind of pet though, more house snakes (brown, olive & aurora), egg eaters & had a young reticulate python & anaconda, but didn't keep 'em for long for obvious reasons. Yeah, lots of illegal snake sales going on here.
It's a Puff Adder, pretty poisonous, but not really aggressive. Most bites from them are because they are camo & ppl step on them. Luckily no photographers harmed, got check ericpalmer.webgarden.com for some more of her. Had to remove her from someone's garden.
