Why would you only run 4 ? There's a reason there is six rotor bolt holes Wink

yeah rotor bolts weight a ton those days Smile

 missing rotor bolt?
  • 3 2
I only run 4. Saves weight. World cup DHers only use 3. So I like to think I am on the safe side.

I only run 3, not only for weight but I am very lazy..

Does one bolt really save all that much weight?

Nothing the normal rider would notice

2 bolts, at 2.5 each its 5 grams a wheel, 10g on the bike, its is rotation mass. do the physics and all that its about a 0.08% performance increase. Now on a 4 minute DH track that work into about .192 seconds, which could mean the difference between a win and third.

so the frame is originally 24 inch?
  • 1 0
No the frame is designed for 26 inch wheels. You could put 24's on as they will fit.

oh ok, so what does that part do for the ride of the bike?
  • 1 0
Well this part gives you the option of having a rear wheel or not. Your choice I guess.
