Cheers bud, what bike was it? Road bike? And you could buy a 2nd hand roadie local if you look in the local classifieds.

really sweet bike man! glad to see that your on wheels again!
  • 1 0
Thanks dude! I have to wait to ride her until tomorrow though as the police stopped me for not having lights.Frown
  • 2 0
Hahahah! Say whaaaat? They do that i uk? Do you have to have lights even by day?
  • 1 0
Yep, but only at night. I only ride at night becuase it's cooler and I can shed less sweat when I sprint.
  • 2 0
aaah, think it's the same in sweden, but we have like one cop car where i live, so i havn't had any experiances with it yet.

True that! I want to restore it properly next year after the Kinesis is built. I might have red with silver lugs, brown bar tap and saddle and retro Shimano groupo, but on the other hand I don't know whether to keep it as a beater so chavs don't try and steal it!
  • 2 0
Yeah, I see your point, I guess I'm lucky that that kind of people isn't abundant around here, well, they are, I just know where not to go Razz
  • 1 0
I took it down the shop earlier and a few chavs walked past, unlike my old Kinesis where they used to eye it up, they didn't even bat an eye lid at it, so the beater look definitely works.

  • 1 0
Your bike looks freaking nice, how does it ride with bullhorns? Drops feel weird Eek
  • 1 0
Horns are nice thanks for that tip to get them, but after a while they start to hurt my hands lol so a constant shifting of the hands must be done, drops must have you bent over a lot :p
  • 2 0
looking good, hope you like it
  • 1 0
Enjoying it a lot! It's a brilliant bike, took it on a 15 miler last night and it felt way easier to ride up hills. It only took me 10 minutes to get used to handling the bike too.

My hands ached a bit on the drops though, but it's no biggie, guessing it could be the seat height or something which causes it?
  • 1 0
annoyingly have to get used to a bit of ache but more modern supporting levers and gloves help, like my peugeot
  • 1 0
Ah okay, I'll probably get some gloves and see how that goes. I put the SRAM brake pads on the bike a minute ago then the cable came out of the clamp in the rear brake lever clamp lol so had to put that back in. It brakes proper good with the new pads. I'm taking it for another ride in a bit.
  • 2 0
 Already builts Eek
  • 2 0
Yup, put it together in 15 minutes.
  • 2 0
Wow that's so quick Dead Horse ha
  • 3 0
I put the chain round the jockey wheels though cuz he couldn't work out how to do it lol Razz
  • 1 0
lol he can't put the front cable on right either, it goes in front of the stem
  • 1 0
lol I'll tell him when he gets up later, he has gone sleep for a couple of hours so he can go for a proper ride later.
  • 2 0
 yay!!!
  • 1 0
Thanks dude, wait until you see the T2...although you may be waiting a while lol
  • 2 0
 It's a final version? Smile
  • 1 0
Yup, just took it for a 2 mile ride to get the feel for it, it's a decent bike, very impressed with how it was built by the dude who sold me it.
  • 2 0
 ....:O A BIKE
  • 1 0
Where? What have you been taking? lol Razz

JK

Yep finally got one I've done 30 miles in the last 2 days on it already!
  • 2 0
Loool, well good. You need to get 30miles done a day to catch up with everyone Razz
  • 1 0
True that. I'm slowly building up my stamina. I got some sprinting in my ride yesterday so slowly getting there.
  • 2 0
Good good, last time I tried sprinting on a road bike it felt like I was about to come off Razz Need to get some practise in over summer for stamina
  • 1 0
Riding in the summer nights when it's a bit cooler is great. I rode the last 2 nights at night, but got stopped by the po po for not having a front light. I need to get one next week and a helmet as I have never rode with one since I've biked.
  • 1 0
The no reply must mean you think I'm a dumb arse for not wearing a helmet??? lol
  • 2 0
YES! Nah I joke, depends where you are cycling, I ride to college without one as its about 15mins away and its all pavement apart from a 30sec section down a back road. But road cycling is a must.
  • 1 0
Yeah I agree on that. When I did XC'ish riding it was on grass and dirt so not really gonna damage myself on that. On the road bike a stone or anything can make my bike make me go over the bars. But on Tuesday I'll have a helmet so all is good!
  • 2 0
Yeah, I barely use a DJ lid down at my local park cos nothings that bad, but still use it when im trying new stuff. Got my road build down www.pinkbike.com/photo/6870999 :lol
  • 1 0
 Bahahaha, that's awesome!
  • 1 0
You know how fast I could sprint on that....Only flaw is it doesnt have cranks, pedals, a chain, gears, mech....You see my point Razz
  • 1 0
lol Yes I do! But seriously, I think you should get a road bike. Or see if your bro would let you have the polished Carrera. Good for your health and it's fun when you overtake cars and shit.

How long until your bike is finished anyway?
  • 2 0
Maybe Razz But I cant afford one even if it was £40 Razz Thats the only good things about road ;P

Hopefully 2months. Depending on finances but that will only be single speed and a rear brake.
  • 1 0
Hope it all goes to plan mate, and at least you've got the DH bike to ride for now....better than being bikeless!
  • 1 0
Cheers. I really need a job though Razz
