Hi. I own a Wolf Ridge 6.8 and the frame is the same design. Did this bike come with a Fox RP23 originally? as I am also looking to convert to a Coil or a DHX Air shock. How does it perform? and will it fit my wolf ridge?

Hi, it came with a rockshox monarch which was useless to be honest, no small bump sensitivity and it ended up just blowing. No point getting a dhx air, it's more adjustable but from what I've heard and tried out, it doesn't perform better than the rp23 for this amount of travel. The coil with the piggy back does fit (just) and makes it so responsive downhill with amazing handling, but it does accentuate the pedal bob at slow speeds which is quite annoying...

No idea about the width, I don't have a ruler and it's pretty tucked away, but any coil shock will fit, with any make of spring too. it's an '08 shock.

 Sweet. So is it running a 190mm x 50mm? (7" x 2") Shock?

ye pretty sure. couldn't find any new coils with those measurements so had to source out an older fox van. Running it quite soft with a 550lb spring, and im about 11'' stone if thats any help.

Nice one. I am also abour 11 Stone too Smile So if it works for u im sure it will work for me.

Do u know what year your shock is? and also do u have a measurment of width? from widest end of coil to the piggy back and from bottom of fattest parts of coil? ie. a measurment of width and each end of the actual shock.
