get a new e thirteen chain guide, they are sick! get it in white. also treat yourself to new forks, i got a set of 2010 marzocchi RC3's for £400 cos i imported them from the US, that would set the bike up soo nice! (my neighbour has a patriot with totems, feels really plush)
here is a pic of mine, they are 180mm, my bike was not really designed to have them i dont think, but they seemed fine. here is a photo of them compared to my old forks www.pinkbike.com/photo/6307626
my neighbour's totems are 180mm and he has the exact same frame, they complament the bike. but if you wanna stick with 150-160mm there are some nice fox van 32's or 36's you could look at, fox is a bit more pricey tho.
not sure of it being better as i cant fit a piggy back shock in my frame as your mates top tube is higher up then mine, and thanks just need some better parts
chhers man i do need some help with parts though need all new drivetrain but can't afford it and not sure i thought of it putting it on backwards or up side down but as the swingarm pivots it will hit it i woulda thought
i dont think it would, do you have any pics of it from the side so that i can have a look and see?
as for a drive train, i will have a look and see what would best suit your bike and riding. what riding do you do? dh and fr, do you use it for general trails too?
just had a look at one of the pics of it, kinda blurry but you could deffo fit a piggy back shock on backwards and upside down. i would encourage to get an e-13 srs in white, they are simply unbeatable, i know they are a lot but they really are the dogs bollocks if you can get a second hand one it is well worth it. if you are wanting new mech and stuff i would suggest a sram-x7 with an x-7 shifter, goodridge cable is well worth it too, it depends on how much you are wanting to spend.
well i would say if you want to improve gearing i would get a better shifter like an x7 shifter and replacing the cables with new ones, that will improve the gearing so much! if you look at a setting up your rear mech using the one from the tech tuesdays guide. that will help so much
