Unrivaled performance, shame about their weight and pad life
  • 1 0
hmm i dont have any complaints about that.. the weight does not matter to me as long as they work..
but after 5 years i cant seem to get my mono trial brake to stop leaking even after a full revision (seals and pistons..) the caliper itself is worn.! now thats really sad..

Any other brake would of worn out alot sooner, that said hopes are always fiddly too over haul

prob true.. i think they should have used a thicker O-ring seal in the pistons for the trial edition..
but indeed ,, rebuilding a lever assembly is a B I T C H Blank Stare

I use avids simply because their straightforward too fix and tune, not the best performance but if you know how too set them their always a good brake

i dont think the avid lever is any simpeler than a hope one.. esp,. with the padcontact setting in the hose connection ? ?
