hhhahahahhahahahh
Yes, christmas is coming very soon!
I do love the sounds of a simple single speed to just go and ride.
The 34x17 sounds perfect nice and firm but light enough for regular pedaling.
hhhahhahahhahhhhahhaahah
You not as pussy as you think, hahahhahhahha
Very funny mate!
If I get a chromoly hard-tail I want one that will accommodate a nice 130-160 fork.
I use to ride a SantaCruse Chameleon years ago with a 150mm fork.
It was purely awesome.
The bike was able to handle anything.
I still have it and can re-build her up but, she has a huge crack on the wishbone!
RidEOn!
I think 130 would be good, 160mm for a 29er is like flying the enterprise with all it's crew to your local grocery store in the morning "two croissants please, thanks! have a good one!"
29" wheel with a 160mm fork would be like a 180-200 on a 26" the wheel has a flatter, umm, inroad (?) angle. It rolls easier on obstacles than the smaller 26". Not much to choose with 29er frames that can handle that amount of stroke
I'm trying now 2012 Scott Spark 29er with a 100mm fork, dynasys shimano, I'll take it for a spin in the morning and see what it will handle today's morning was occupied with a Spark 20 carbon 2012 26" with the same drivetrain and face tearing shimano xt 2012 brakes! what a bite they have compared to avids! It simply tears a riders face with a single finger
I've changed my mind a little for the gear ratio, now I'm running 34x17 (no other would be good to adjust the chain tension with the bb) so it is a straight 2.0 ratio and it's nice for uphills and just cruising through villages and fireroads! on flat 24km/h seems to be the best you can get with a normal cadency... simple bike just for riding, pure fun, bo bullsh&^ You should get a cro-mo frameset christmas is coming!!!
pure fun, no bullsh*& funny thing is that my average speed raised about 4km/h on that lower gear ratio I've found out, that some long_beard_lycra_29er_riders in the US use even smaller ratios than 2.0 not as pussy as I thought earlier! good to learn in practice
