Thanks bro! I'm actually loving the shock, had an RC4 on my last bike and the CC blows it out of the water... takes a little longer to set it up, but the independent adjustments make such a difference!
yeah i dont like my rc4 at all is kinda stiff shock even with 350lb spring on it and the adjust are nothing special sometimes looks like they don't work lol ppl say the cane creek is very smooth and plush that's why im probably gonna change it for mine..
Yeah i found my RC4 to still be a sick shock, super reliable, smooth, took in the big hits my demo just came with the Cane Creek haha. However.. before playing with anything setting or adjustments on your shock you should acquire the proper spring weight for yourself. Have you done that?
My only complaint about the Cane Creek is that the you can't use all types of springs on it, and if the spring isn't set up just perfect on the bike it creates huge amounts of rub on the shock body and it sounds so bad!Apparently manitu doesn't but i haven't tried it yet.
But good luck! If you have any other questions feel free to ask
yeah i use the have 450lb on it but it was to stiff so i check online and im 150lb they say 350 should be ok for starting is much smoother now but not as much i was looking for hes ok i just need to play around a little bit more i was thinking about the bos stoy too i really like that one but i dont know :S
Yeah try turning ur compression all the way off and see how that feels then slowly turn it back up click by click till u find the perfect setting! also running a fast rebound will smooth things out too
yeah dude, i run somewhere in the wide open and halfway... the nice thing about the CC is you can set it up so the first bit of the stroke is fast and then it ramps up for the bigger hits
