Awesome bike man! I love those yeti's! What does the avalanche cartridge add to the boxxers?

replaces the whole damping system with a fully hydraulic speed sensitive damper. So its plusher than a regular boxxer, lighter, and fearues external low speed adjusters for rebound and compression. Its speed sensitive, so you hit things faster its gets stiffer to compensate, not wasting any travel. This damper has an optional mid tune as well (that can be adjusted internally) this tune reduces brake dive and holds the fork up in the travel, making it corner and jump better. Its a quality bit of kit Smile

Brilliant write up Smile reckon I'll keep mine as standard for a bit before investing in a new cartridge!

i couldve done better, and the moment you finish you rmember the odd thing you forget to put in, but it'll do. Currently searching for a rear shock to match Big Grin

I can't find anything to fault really! Not sure what it would be like on a yeti rail but a CCDB might be good with the almost limitless adjustability?
  • 20
I think I'd go for an avalanche or a bos, i prefer simpler suspension to set up, still good, but simpler. A ccdb is also not the most maintenence free i dont think
  • 10
Yeah a stoy would be amazing. i've heard the ccdb does need a bit of extra care
