Clean the frame thoroughly, no dirt, grease, oil, GT 85 etc....preferably work on a new frame. I'm trying a carbon road bike for the first time so a little nervous? Heli-taping the frame takes time, but will add value to your bike on re-sale, shows that it's been looked after, sell your bike as if you are the buyer? keep it clean and well looked after....difficult with a downhill bike, but I have seen some bad bikes....cable rubs, dents, dings etc....yes it's all part of the sport, but would you like to buy a used bike/frame protected and looked after, or needing a £150 re-spray???
