Diggin the brace at the seat tube.

You'd be a good person to ask about the placement of the clamp slot cutout on the seat tube. Why sometimes in the front and sometimes in the rear? I always figured it's cause if a QR clamp was to be used it would be in the front and in the rear if a bolt on clamp was to be used so the frame would be designed around that according to the discipline the frame was geared towards. But now you have me wondering since this is a DJ frame where usually seat height changes wouldn't be needed too often. Sorry for the paragraph, hahaa.

we dont really follow the rules on all of that, we go off real world experience. We have fixed many other brands seat tube breaks. And we have snapped many headtubes on other frames from some big name companies. We believe its stronger in the front because all of the load is on the rear as the seat stay is already at an angle and you dont jam your seat forward you jam it backwards. Weve done a lot of testing with these frames. Thats the reason they are all longs is because all of the real world testing has been from me 6'4 215 lbs , co owner and engineer 6'1 200lbs, then our green frame has been passed around and riden by us and my ogar friend whos 6'7 285 lbs. Moral of the story is none of us are small and we have broke many parts except our frames. With that being said remember we have built frames for some big name companies that you probably wish you had or have rode before and loved. So there is a ton of knowledge from those ventures.

Oh yeah, I didn't think about loading......makes perfect sense. Also, I dig your gussets for the head tube area, they are beautiful. I'm a fan of external HT gussets, not only cause of the look but I'm thinking they are stronger than internal gussets........am I on the right track?

Btw, doesn't everybody need an ogar friend, hahaa.
