But since then I've looked further into his exploits, and there are a lot, all over the world, even though he comes from Berkley, CA. The guy revels in the death or injury to mountain bikers and gleefully posts reports from newspapers etc.
He seems to take great pleasure in quoting old and outdated sources from before the time that moiuntain biking was a legitimate sport. Plus the fact that he's a US resident without an understanding of the trail centre / public bridleway / byway / BOAT concept with which the UK opens it's woodlands to all - hikers, dog walkers, cyclists, offroaders- thus ensuring that everyone can take full advantage of the countryside safe in the knowledge that their use is contributing to sustainable funding streams for reparation & further access areas.
Personally I feel the chap is a troll trying to get a rise out of folk whilst bathing in the warm comforting glow of his PC screen and his online friends. I'd just leave him to it- people like him probably lead very sad and lonely lives- thus the need to spout on a comments section. Granted I'm not a fan of mbt'rs when I'm walking- but it ain't my woodland! I don't like stepping in poo or diving into bushes to dodge speedy bikers (and I doubt they like breathing my usual cloud of smoke) but I have to respect the landowners intention to open it up to all users- so it's something I have to deal with. Live and let live, it's better for your blood pressure!
Remember statistically speaking; 1 out of every four Americans alive today is actually able to qualify medically for the term "global retardation"...
Has anyone else ever come across this bloke? I recently encountered him here;
