yeah box is actually just high enough, im just getting out of my first year of riding ( well not just been riding about 1.5 years now) so not like i can do a hell of alot haha. Box is 2 feet high which is high enough to challenge me to hop onto , and high enough to make grinds a bit of a challenge. This height used to be no problem for me but lately i been working on nothing but rolling out of fakies because i cant seem to get them down and its the 1 trick holding me back from a f*ck ton of other tricks because i can 180 and nose 180 and what not but i cant roll out of rotations yet. so because i been doin nothin but fakies for the longest i lost a bit of bunny hop height so i built the box to work on that. Once i get comfortable on this thing ill find a way to make it higher for sure.
sarcasm. I would have make it lower but your a huge guy and I'm not lol. and I've only been riding about a year and i still suck. do you do spins and stuff out of grinds yet?
nope not yet, still too shitty, untill i can roll out of a fakie and actually complete a 180 i dont think ill be attempting spins out of grinds. best i can do is feeb to manual or if the ledge is low enough smith to a very crappy nose haha. i would like to try feebs to table tops when im feeling ballsy enough because i really like table tops and im trying to learn turn downs. I dont think my size makes it easier to hop higher at all. because the guys i ride with are all short and they can all out hop me by far. Keeping it basic these days, working on getting really solid hops, manuals , fakies /180s , tables, feebs and smiths. once i got those tricks dialed ima push harder
smiths are easy to get if you approach the ledge from behind like your going to hop up on to and hop on the ledge and just spot the front peg. that way its all forwards motion and no side hop involved. hitting smiths from the side are def harder
ok thanks man, but I don't think I'll be trying them for a while... I striped out my front axle today on a smith attempt so i need a new hub, and im broke...
