I saw you mention about the Mini being to dear to run, will you drive it when funds apply?

 Well, since I'll be replacing my current car with a small van that will be my daily driver sorted. As much as I'd love to drive the Mini daily, it isn't really ideal for me. I'd like to continue to work on it, sorting a few niggles that have been discovered since MOT'ing it and get it insured on some sort of agreed limited milage policy for getting to shows etc Couldn't bear to sell her!

 Well, she's forty three this year so she is getting pretty old! Would be a cool thing to pass onto my kids one day.

I dunno, there was a matey in minimag who picked up a Mk1 (was a 1959 aswell, so the first year they were ever made) for less than two grand... Needed a restore, but still!

 Lucky b-stard! I guess it depends on the seller/condition overall. My mate can get me a Mk3 cheap whenever I have the funds.
