Thanks.
It was mostly done by hand with the exception of a nylon brush head on a drill towards the end that helped me get some of the tighter areas and saved a bit of time. Since I spent about 10-20 hours on it I was fed up with it at the end of the project. I finished it with some 600 grit and a bit of car shiner. Had I not been fed up I probably would've polished it with some autosol then clear coated it.
The original paint job was a powdercoat done by a previous owner that was getting a bit too warn. I didn't use chemicals because I was scared of damaging the aluminium.
I'd recommend using a stripper that's safe for your frame or using some mechanical sanding device, the hand sanding route sucks.
I've got the same glory 08 frame, original paint job. So I just strip the paint, sand it then polish it? Or am I missing something. Also, I have a belt sander, is that a bit too much or would that do the job?
Love the look of that raw frame. Can you please tell me what you used to strip the paint/polish it and is it clear coated? Also how long did it take to complete? Thanks a lot
