not if you land it right.. the speed that you carry over the jump makes it so that the descent is gradual i guess. to get technical, on a race track the trajectory when you jumps makes for a not so abrupt landing, usually your trajectory matches the pitch of the landing thus you have a very smooth landing. so simply, no it's not harsh

 i dont ride bmx but when you land a jump like that on a bmx bike is it really harsh?
