well like i said they both run 2:1 ratios, despite different travel, so the pressures would be very similar. and since the dob comes in different sizes, you could probably get one pretty close to the same geo.. that being said, your still getting a le pink no matter what size you get.. ha i dont really nit pick these little details in a bike, and its made me a better rider. theyre both slope bikes, the dob came out first, and they both share 99% of the features theyd be advertising for people like you to buy it.
i do not agree , seeing as the thing in comon between the too is how the shock seat tube is set up even tho specialized does that for the demo , it makes sense that they would do it for there slope frame , that being said the geo is alot different as they dont even run the same recomended travel in the rear.
rant over
to me thats a pretty big similarity considering the le pink was the only slope frame i knew of that had that shock arrangement with the top tube and seat tube before the p. slope. the specialized also uses the 2:1 leverage ratio the le pink has had and the concentric bb pivot, that being said when somethin works why change it!? rant right back at ya XD
yes but most slope frames run cocentric bb , gotta take into effect bb drop/rise, tt length cs,ss,st,dt lengths ht angle ,st angle , material and so on the p slope frame itself is suppose to ride alot stiffer then the le pink , yes they look the same but there are a tonne of changes
id rather have the hand made original. if its a slope bike like the dob its gonna have slopestyle geometry, like the dob. but nowhere near the quality and prestige haha
im just talking about the key selling points that make a bike a bike. obviously theyre a little different, but in the same miniscule way all slope bikes differ. in the scheme of different brands having there own versions of what they call "slope bikes," it doesnt get much more similar than these twos' looks and probably how they ride. its a much harder argument to say theyre different when the only visible difference is the material theyre made of and the same suspension principles are used. i own a demo 8, i love it, nothin against specialized, but just look at the two bikes side by side..
im sure they ride completly different tt ,st,cs, ss, st lengths all make a huge difference in riding, also ht ,st angle all different , it looks similar yes , but there are so many things different about the frames that im sure they will ride alot differently , the pslope also runs 80mm rear travel and at lower levels of psi is as stiff as the le pink at a mid- higher level, the way they did there leverage is also different , you cant say
oh slope frame , same shock position , must ride the same. they will ride totally different in the end because there is such a difference in geo , basically the pslope is a p3 with an 80mm rear shock , im not dissing any brands here they both are great frames but there is so many differences
also spec didnt really copy the st/shock thing seeing as specialized has done that on the demos for a long while now witch makes sense why they would run it on there other dual sus frame
yes the le pink rides great , yes the pslope probably does to , but they are two different frames ,
true dat im just saying there 2 different frames just because of a couple small similarties doesnt make them the exact same if so , that means the soda slope and double are the same as a couple small similaritys
