That is an excellent observation. We've purposly left the steerer long just in case the new owner of the bike or we decide to use that great fork for another application. This bike is just sitting in the garage waiting to ride. So until it is going to be used it can stay like that. I may be putting a dj fork on there soon and then you won't have to look at that hideous build. I'm sorry my build pains you so deeply that you felt compelled to comment on it but if you notice that the handle bar has very little rise, the bike actually feels a whole lot better this way. If you chose to buy the bike, I will gladly trim the steerer to your exact specifications. Everything is done for a reason - and now you know why it is, how it is. Sorry if I completely missunderstood your comment - it just dawned on me that you see that I have a lot of spacers and that you are actually looking to score some from me. If that's the case then just send me an email with how many you need and I'll see what I can do for you. Thank you for your interest and concerns.
