 Well, in some places like Amsterdam and Nijmegen it's normal. The bigger city's you know. It's better nowadays because if you park it wrong they will remove your bike. This is an old picture i think.

 its a rear mount inverted with 2 screws in

 I was thinking the same thing, how the hell would you find your bike after leaving it there for a few hours or something.

 as said above .. welcome to holland.. we have special bike finding skills.. and if that doesnt work.. bolt cutters will help you conquer another bike.. ..
