It's definitely fun to have a fixed gear with a huge gearing to go full speed through the traffic of big cities (gives a nice adrenaline kick). I'd recommend riding at least a front brake with soft brakepads tho to stay alive Smile

 Needs 52*16 ! Big Grin

Getting a 42T or 44T up front soon for high-speed riding (14T rear), but keeping the 34-14 gearing for freestyle

I broke my 11 cog Frown Now I'm @ 42*16, in summer 52*11 or 12 Big Grin On the Analog. Swapped handlebars as well, original ones now for winter instead of the shorties

Damn that is huge! Why so big? for me a 3:1 ratio already is huge and I wouldn't personally go bigger than that as that already pushes me to my maximum speed (bigger than that wouldn't make me go any faster)

On my roadbike I still have power left to go faster @ 52*10 The craziest fixie I've ridden had 56*10, was really hard to get going and even more crazy to stop! Most guys over here are between 46 and 52 Smile

That's sick! Seems like you've got stronger legs then Smile

Wink I'm build different than you are. I'm a whole lot heavier and do a lot of weight training Smile You probably have a big advantage riding uphill, where I would have an advantage on momentum. The beauty of cycling mate! Big Grin

Haha maybe if I did uphill, I'm too lazy for that Big Grin
