santa cruze v10 id go for ,because the demo is shit for downhill because the suspention doesnt rebound quick enough and it handles like shit doing downhill the v10 is gonna be better at everything and its got more travle.but the demo is ace for freeride

 go for V10 I had one and on free ride with a goof 5th elemen quit hard in the enf of rebound it's OK!!!and on DH it's the better bike!!! but if you have to jump hard on free ride you must have a 888 or something without air...

 If you are going to do ONLY downhill and LIGHT freeride then get the V10 because it is lighter and more geared up for that, BUT if you are going to do ANY LARGE AMOUNT OF FREERIDE get the Demo 8..........FUN FACTS: The V10 has 4 inches of sag

 hmm someone have written that demo handels like shit and the linkage does not rebund fast enough i guess you havent ride a demo fast out in a sketchy trail its goes like a dream the linkage sucks upp everything its feels like the wheels are like stuck in

 i have a demo 8 and its amazing round corners, but i also like the v10. personally id go for the demo just because i dont really see any need for 10 inches of travel in england and dont buy a demo 9 they are way too long. and nomicsrider661 dont you realise that a 303 frame is the same price as a fully built demo.

 honestly the bike u want is A santa cruze VP FREE ask anyone. they rip the big DH and small and can jump very good. they sit good with most any fork weather single or dual crown and it is probably the best bike out for what u want.

 From an engineering point of view its the same thing. Demo is a tank and is to heavy in my opinion. I hit up the V10, looks way nicer.

 For freeride, go w/ the demo 8/9, they will jump better, are lighter and have a shorter wheelbase, if I'm not mistaken...If ur just going for straight shot DH, go w/ the v-10

 yeah go for the demo 8 for sure, but just as p2boy said, if ya got the budget for for a demo 9, their sweer bikes

 iv got the 06 demo 8 and i think its shit hot and can take anything you throw at it.... GET ONE!

 specialized is the best but with those specs the v10 would have to be my bike there

 also u r not losing travel w/ a free its got 8.75 inches of rippen travel.

 i would take v-10 but if you want to own something between those two, buy santa cruz vp free

 why not get a demo 9 u like u hav the budget.if not definately the demo 8
