@car0401: exactly. It will bolt to the frame just fine. You will most likely have to use the insert bushings that are currently on your bike as this shock will not come with them. They are easily removed from your current shock though once it is off the bike.

 You know, I'm not sure. The spring reads 500x2.35. I know 500 is the weight. Hopefully the 2.35 answers your question. If it helps, it came off of my 2005 Santa Cruz Heckler.
