 yeah this was last summer. did another faceplant a third of this last month tho. just a few stiches no biggie.

 Have you considered a fullface?

 yeah i have a carbon d3 for when i ride dh. but this happened on an xc ride.

 nope i'm still good. close call though.

 nailed a tree with my face at about 40. had to spend 3 days in the icu didnt ride for about 4 months.

 highest level concussion, swelling of the brain, internal bleeding of the brain. some deep cuts about 20 stiches, broken nose cracked teeth ripped the inside of my lip nearly in two, almost bit my tounge off... minor fractures around my eye socket and a scrapped elbow. about 4 months off the bike.
