Right now he machines for Straitline. I think he downgraded.

Agreed. I think straitlines stuff is WAY overpriced for what you get. I can machine my own stems and they don't slip. I've only heard bad things about straitline stems.

Get some XT's, they are hands down the best brakes I have ever used. Shimano brakes are the absolute best.
