Nice looking bike. If you wanted to make it look a whole lot cooler and lighter for not much money, you could take off the tensioner and make it a set length, replace the pedals or even just repaint them, and either buy a new fork with that fork's selling money (another DJ series could work fine) or just desticker it. Take those into consideration!
Due to the frame not pivoting central of the BB, the chain will tighten and slacken during suspension travel. You didn't think he ran a tensioner for the hell of it, did you?
I didn't know it wasn't a frame with pivots on the BB. Then yeah, keep the tensioner. I just hate the look of them, especially when people would rather have one than trim down the chain length. But in your case it's required so I don't mind as much!
bit obvious it is if you look at where the lower arm goes into the frame. but i agree could change those pedals but apart from that its a really nice build!
