Banshee 2011 Scythe (MSRP $4515) - The scythe captures the spirit of toughness. It was made to be the tool of the trade for the no nonsense rider whose concerned more about stomping that tech section of trail then about what his "girlfriends" at the coffee shop, talkin tech-wheenie speak, think. Be it scorching heat, rain, snow, hail or ice cold nothing stops scythe riders from getting to the trails. Everything, on this bike is engineered to let you ride it hard, withstand the elements, all with minimal maintenance... you don't need treat this bike with any respect, but you can always count on it to get you home.

This frame is some of the most allround playfull and nimble frame i have ever ridden. It works just as good for pure dh as it does for freeride. Super solid, pedal efficient and berms goes like riding on rails. Perfect for those that enjoy the local dh track and goes often to bikeparks. I recommend it to every one that want a cheaper and better alternative.

This would be one versatile bike. Absolutely perfect for freeriding. Goes down fast and stays low in the berms, but flies like a mo-fo. It isnĀ“t exactly the lightest bike around, but if you consider its resistance it balances out. Highly recommend this bike!

I just got this bike and I was completely blown away by its stability, playfulness, it's ease in the air, and it's ability to pop out of corners. The first time I rode this bike, and felt like every full-on DH bike I'd ever ridden, but unlike a heavy, beefy DH bike, this bike could jump and whip almost as well as a hardtail! It doesn't buck me at all. And the cornering of this bike just blew me away. I had my bike in the 200mm DH mode and it rode exactly like a 200mm travel DH bike, even with a single crown fork. I highly recommend this bike to anyone who needs a do-it-all DH/FR bike.
