I have a very early version of his shock ('04) and it performs very well. The controls are pretty stiff and i need to use pliers to turn them. This may, howewer, be due to the previous owner allowing them to get a little rusty. The shock is otherwise very good. nice and stiff with a smooth travel.

great shock. came stock on my bike and it work perfectly. the only bad thing is there are no adjustments except for rebound and tightening and loosening the spring. im going to keep this till it break which will be a while i guess!

I would give this a 5 out of 10 stock because of the lack of adjustments. Rebound and tightening or loosening the spring isn't enough... Buying other springs of the right weight and size is a pain.

Mine was rebuilt by PUSH and there isn't a high enough rating for it once it was rebuilt. I think it makes my bike roll better on trails than my home boys Rocky Element.

this is amazing, easy to install for me anyways. soaks up everything in its path, nice and stable at high speed. some of our berms have massive breaking bumps this eats it to crap. Got it from mojo suspension very quick delivery. I havent even worn it in yet and all ready it makes the ride sooo smooth 9 out of 10 just misses the controlling of the pro-pedal but still sick

overall the best shock out there.....
as far as it goes fox's rear shocks wipe the floor with almost all the manufacturers the only ones that can really keep up with them are ridiculously expensive think ccdb and bos stoy
there are gains to be had from getting a rc4 but remember all the adjustments are only any good if you know exactly what to do with them.
for the majority of riders this is better as it is a bit lighter then a rc4 its simpler than a rc4 and because there's less adjustments its basically set up ready so instead of sessioning a track trying to get it dialled in you can just ride it like a boss !! its really sensitive and the way it controls the stroke beggers belief. its pretty cheap too and yes it destroys vivids and roco's mine feels pretty well the same as my mates dhx4. the new one gets a compression adjuster too so theres even a nice blue dial.

bottom line is this is more than enough shock for most people and if youre very particular about your set up you can have it valved for as little as 45 quid next time you get it serviced and then you can geet it to feel pretty much how you like... either way you win....

im not for a minute going to suggest that this is better than fox's higher tier dhx line but its as good as.. and you cant ask for much more than that!!

Just like the Van, this is an easy to use shock. Built in, ride until it breaks (if this should ever happen, just take care of it and it won't) then buy a new one. 160 euros aren't much for the functionality of this shock.

I have this on my Slash5 and it is a good shock and it is also custom tuned. It is super plush and it doesn't have all the stuff that get buggered up on the more expensive shocks.

 Simple, easy, bombproof suspension.

No frills, no gimmicks. Just a nice sturdy shock to ride on. It's not the best feeling shock, but you can plan on leaving a crash with it intact.

This shock is a real budget shock for those who do not take riding to serious. Bashers who appreciate to ride once in a while. But if you do take riding seriously. Upgrade to a dhx 4 or a dhx 5. Trust me it is worth it.

This shock is Bombproof, plush, reliable, easily tunable. Even better when Push custom tunes it. I think it looks pretty darn cool too.

Adjustable and great, never failed on me and take in alot of shock, and also had great rebound. Based on the DHX shock, but much better.

Currently riding on VAN.R they are great shocks and absorb the impact of roots and drops very well. Also its still working perfectly after around 2years

Super responsive and reliable. I wouldn't trust any other company. Fox has been in the suspension busssiness for ever.

Very reliable, almost no maintenance.
