Was my first shock on a mondraker petrol, lacked adjustability and was way too soft, I'm an extremely light rider and even with a medium hardness spring I felt it bottoming on medium sized stuff.

Bottom line: not perfect, but great if you're on a tight budget.

May as well recomend it, ive got one, it's alright for a shock made of shit and twiggs, piece of piss to destroy, could do a new one in an hour, squeaks like fook as well. still, it came with the bike so can't complain.

I have the Metal RP on my Faith and it is a good performing shock. It seems to work better than the Swingerts I've had in the past too. I recommend it!

ManitouMetal (MSRP $0) — With Metel, we’ve set out to prove that freeride and downhill components don’t have to be stripped of features or lacking durability to be affordable. Metels use the same oversized body and steel damper shaft as on our Swinger coil shocks. Building on that solid foundation of durability we’ve added the performance and adjustability of our new Platform Plus damping system. The top-of-the-Metel-line "RP" features adjustable platform.
