Hasn't dropped my chain once over the year that I've owned it. Only real problem is the vast amount of friction between the roller and my chain, which makes crazy uphills slightly difficult for lack of pedaling efficiency. But, oh well, it's built for the downs, what did I expect? lol

just got it, lightweight considering the price. got it for 50€

very ajustable wich i like, the only bad thing is the bearing wheel thing, when its very tight the bearing barely spins...
but a couple of spacer sorted that out Big Grin

This is an awesome chainguide, iv just bought my third one, not becuase the other ones have broken but because i sold them with my old bikes. These guides will fit almost any bike with small modifications, i have just fitted it to a banshee scream and found that the pins at the back were slightly too long, but it was easily sorted out using a file. Once set up properly you will never drop a chain. This is a seriously good chain guide for the money and for those who want to run a bashring, truvative do make a bashring that is wider set so that the device still completely covers the chain. iff youre considering this chain guide, you wont be disapointed. also it sais it will only go down to 34t chainrings but theres no problems running it on a 32t. I hope this info is useful!

The boxguide comes in a range of frame fitments. Famous for it's simplicty in design, and how it works. With both the top guide and bottom roller up tight to the chain, it is a very effective chain device. It does not offer a bashring, and has not been designed to use one, so if you want a bashring this device is not for you. This device is a little overpriced for the simplicity of it, however it does not let you down. Buy second hand and you've got yourself a must have! Highly reccommended to those who are considering!

Got one off me mate for free. The bearing in the wheel never worked when he had it, £6 for new bearing and it's mint, although the guide does work loose after a bit, still not bad for f*ck all.

This guide is a great budget guide that does actually work if you do know how to properly adjust a guide. Lasts for a decent while if you lube the bushing on the chainwheel.

works great and is a good buy for the price but make sure to slide the roller as close to the bash guard to insure no loss of your chain
