My opinions mirror that of Weir BEST TIRE EVAR. The only condition that I have found it doesn't excel at is deep mud...and no tires besides mud specific tires do well in that anyways. Just like Mark Weir it can handle and excel at anything.

the 2.5 is an excellent front tire for freeride and xc. tons of bite for leaning the bike over haard. The casing seems to be able to hold up to east coast rock too. I have shredded lots of other tires. Oddly the tire doesn't seem to loose much grip as it gets old. the knobs don't seem to round off the way other tires do. Very strange, but I will buy another for sure.

Like the original Panaracer "Smoke", this is a pattern I KNEW would work, and it does! Great at everything and light to boot. Gonna put one on the back and turn it around, see how that works.

I have the 2.5 version. Not the lightest out there, but they are great for the front! Nice and directional

WTB WeirWolf-Race (MSRP $50) — Mark Weir’s signature model, the WeirWolf, is built to carve aggressive singletrack. Lean into corners with confidence knowing that the large, transitional openings between knobs channel soil outward, while the ramped, claw-like center tread provides pro-level traction in all terrain types. Mount the WeirWolf for big mountain cross country rides, Super D races, or DH adventures and find out why Weir’s always sporting that goofy grin.
