2018 YT Capra Pro Race, XL with 2020 Santa Cruz Reserve 37 carbon wheels. If you are looking for a pedal friendly enduro bike, this isn’t it. It is listed in this section only because it isn’t an actual DH bike. If you are looking for a bike park mobbing, shuttle lap eating brawler that is ready to eat- you’re in luck. This bike has two seasons on it but make no mistake, it was not a stable pony. From enduro races on the East Coast to EWS Whistler back when North American racers still had a chance and available venues to participate... That said, it was meticulously maintained on a weekly basis and has PLENTY of life left in it. The SC Reserve wheels were put on in 2019 which was it’s last season of use. I am terrible about getting attached to bikes that have taken me to amazing places and been part of unforgettable memories. This particular bike has been hanging on the wall since the winter of 2019/2020 after the 2019 race season. I have a move coming up that will require some down-sizing so unfortunately it’s time to thin the emotional trophy collection. This bike is ready to ride as-is other than refreshing the tubeless fluid, lubing the chain and setting up the suspension to your preferences. It had a full service and the end of the 2019 season, including replacing a couple of frame bearings and refreshing the suspension. The carbon frame has always had frame protection and has very little wear and tear. There are some scuffs on the drive side of the top tube as seen in the pictures and one chip on the down tube, also in the pictures. There is zero damage to the mech, shifters, brake levers, etc. The threaded insert on the end of the cable into the dropper post lever is snapped but it doesn’t effect the dropper post function at all and it is tightly seated agains the lever and doesn’t move so it isn’t worth tearing it apart to fix it until it becomes an issue (shown in pictures). The saddle has a couple of tears in it (shown in pictures) from errant shuttle rig loading Fox Transfer Factory, 150mm Recommended tire size on the Reserve 37 wheels is 2.5/2.6 wide trail. It has 2.5 WT front and back now and the tire profile is perfect. Again- this bike does not identify as a trail bike. It pedals and can get you to the package store after a day of shredding just fine, but you are not going to be keeping up with your boys on the uphills at Highland on Wednesduro… they better get TF out of the way when gravity kicks in though. YT carbon frame (main) is still under warranty until 2024 If you want the tools that used to come with the YT bikes I have a few sets and can include them. I will also include a spare derailleur hanger as it would make an ugly neckless pendant for my lady. This Capra 29er has very low miles. It was purchased spring of 2021 and rode a few times at Kingdom Trails/Burke Mtn in VT and a couple of times in NoCo before I switched back to the updated Jeffsy. It was more bike than I needed at the time. The plan was to hold onto it for future park/shuttle days but I nuked my knee skiing the following winter which took me out for a year. It’s been hanging in the basement since and another move is in the near future so it’s time to let go of a couple of bikes… This is an Enduro slaying machine that is equally at home in the park as it is on all but the gnarliest DH tracks. It pedals well enough for trail rides but the bike doesn’t really come alive until it is pointed downhill or is boosting off lips so I would not purchase if your typical rides are XC loops or primarily flat trail riding.
