Trek Slash Carbon, M/L, high spec, very good condition

$1850 GBP
Up for sale is my Trek Slash 2021. Carbon, M/L frame size (470ish reach), with a really solid spec and the best colour! I'm 5ft9 with long legs and arms, and short torso, and it fitted me nicely with a 35mm stem. Set up at the moment, I would say it'll fit folk from around 5ft8 to 6ft, depending on your preferences and proportions. I've done a show-round video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=090vnUf_QR0 I'm going to 'reverse auction' this - the price is fixed, and collection only, but will drop by £50 a week until it sells. Open confession: I am a full bike nerd. My dining room has been converted to a bike workshop! This is one of 3 MTBs I ride regularly, so it's not had a huge amount of use. I owned a bike shop for 18 years, been in the trade for 25, and this has been looked after meticulously. I even CAD modelled and 3D printed a cable guide for the left hand chainstay specifically for this build, to give you an idea! Always open to a good chat about bikes and life too, so uou'd be very welcome to come over to me, we'll have a look over the bike, get the suspension and controls set up for you and have a spin around the block if you like. Just bring some pedals of your choice. If you have preferred grips, saddle or other easy-to-swap bits, I'm really happy to do that for you too. Full spec: Frame and Forks - Frame: Trek Slash Carbon 2021, M/L, 160mm travel, Fox DPX2 shock. Part invisiframed from new. Some areas have lifted a bit and attracted dirt - could be removed and re-applied if you wished. Generally really good condition with the odd chip and scuff from normal use. - Forks: Fox Factory 38 Kashima, GRIP2, 160mm, 29" wheel. Barely ridden, only two small scuffs to the left hand leg but otherwise hard to tell they aren't new. Wheels - Front hub: Project 321, ceramic bearings - Rear hub: DT Swiss 240, recently serviced, Microspline, 148 x 12 - Front rim: Stans Flow Mk4 29" - Rear rim: DT EX511 27.5" - Spokes: Black butted - Front tyre: Specialized Hillbilly 29 x 2.4, has a tube in, but pretty sure the rim has a tubeless strip on it - Rear tyre: Schwalbe Big Betty 27.5 x 2.4, freshly set up tubeless Brakes - Front brake: SRAM Code RSC, sintered pads - Rotors: SRAM Centerline, 220mm front, 200mm rear, 6 bolt Drivetrain - Cranks: Shimano XT M8100 - Spocket: Shimano 30T - Chain: Shimano XT M8100 12 speed - Cassette: Shimano XT M8100 12 speed, 10-51T - Rear mech: Shimano XT M8100 12 speed - Pedals: None - Bottom bracket: Shimano XT M8100 Hollowtech 2 - Shifter: Shimano SLX M7100 12 speed (new) Steering - Headset: Sealed cartridge bearing with KnockBlock adaptor - Stem: Deity CNC, 50mm - Headset Spacers: Burgtec Carbon - Grips: ODI lock Ons - Handlebars: Renthal FatBar Alloy, 35mm clamp Controls: - Dropper: Bontrager Elite 150mm, 34,9mm diameter - Seat clamp: Trek - Saddle: Specialized Body Geometry This has been a fantastic bike, wouldn't be selling if I hadn't bought a Zerode with gearbox / belt drive! Have a few specific spares for this bike which will be included, such as a spare hanger, 32T Shimano chainring, Shimano BB, and if anything else comes to mind I'll include that too. I just want someone else to enjoy this bike as much as I have :-) Location is PR6, between Blackburn and Chorley, Lancashire. Have some top trails on my doorstep and would be open to a ride post-sale if you fancy and have time. Any questions please ask! Thanks, Adam

Project 321 SS 142x12 rear hub on Stans Flow Mk4

$180 GBP
Project 321 rear hub on Stans Flow Mk4. The hub is 142x12 singlespeed, came with a Zerode gearbox bike I bought, but also perfect to slot straight into various other frames including Starling Beady Little Eye. 216 engagement points and magnetic pawls, really cool and different. HG cassette body. Black butted spokes. Round and true, no dings or dents in the rim. Tubeless tape fitted. Includes spacer kit and lockring. Really good condition, hub runs smooth. Only selling as I moved to an Onyx hub for complete silence! Video of hub sound: https://youtube.com/shorts/oL1biOtDCrc?si=e7Hg8zAN1o6g4P0U Collect from PR6 or can post within UK at £15. Thanks.

Garbaruk 12 Speed Microspline Cassette, 10-52

$130 GBP
Very good condition Garbaruk cassette, Microspline fitment, 12 speed. Used on an XC race bike for a season, never with a chain more worn than 0.5%, so virtually no wear. Nearly 150g lighter than XT 10-51 from memory, a beautiful piece of engineering! My XC race days are over and I'm now trying a Pinion gearbox bike, hence sale. Collection from PR6, or I can post to UK at £8. Thanks.

Review: Shimano XTR 9220 Brakes - Consistency is Key
It does do something, but the change is minimal. Around 4mm difference in lever blade stroke on the M8120 for example. Would assume the latest brakes are sinilar. When the total stroke is around 25mm (depending on how recently your pistons have been massaged!) this isn't easy to detect, but I can certainly tell.
