Went for a ride yesterday and I'm pretty sure it was the longest ride we've had due to technial difficulties. First when I got to my brothers house he was replacing a spoke that he had broken not that big of a deal. So we took are bikes apart and put them in the back of the car getting ready to take off. 3 hours and 10 beer later we were still in his backyard visiting everyone who randomly showed up through out the day. So we decided that we'd take the bikes back out of the car and do a flat ride from "Fish trap creek" to Ledgeview and depending on how we felt when we got there maybe ride up do a down hill and ride back to his place. When we took out of the bikes out of the car there were so f*cking hot that I dropped mine and he threw his.... As I result he bent the back part of his bike... We were unable to get his back tire on so we spread the back apart untill the tire popped on...all better. So we started riding and thats when everything started to go wrong...first my rim bent from who knows what so we went to straighten it, thus when we discouvered that I had a broken spoke (we brought no extra's with us). So we kept on riding rode a few stairs across a bridge when I started to smell burning rubber like you would at the drag strip... I looked up and there was my brother standing next to his bike. I stopped to ask what was up and thats when his back tire popped off and his tube puffed up like the scary clown at the carnival does to all the balloon....
So we fixed his tire and kept on riding, about ten minutes later I got a flat, so I took that off and when I did I saw the strangest thing....wire..lots and lots and lots of wire...from my tire it was all bunched up on the inside of my tire...so I threw my spare tire on and extra tube and started riding, by this time we decided to go back home before anything else broke
So on the way back we ended up riding past the Ag-rec center....where theres a BMX track I had to go for it even though I had a bent rim, one spoke less than usual, no beer left and broke tire straped to my back
so I shifted my gears into middle middle started pedaling took the first jump came down for the landing and SNAP!.... Now I have a broken pedal, a flat tube, one spoke less than normal, no beer and a broken tire straped to my back...So thats when we decided to call it a day and that was that!

Today My brother and I rode around some horse tails...you know. The ones that say No Bikes Allowed, It was a good ride all and all. The highlight would of had to be all the wildlife, every corner we rode around there'd be some type of furry little critter scrambeling to get off the trail and out of are way. Not much downhill in this ride and LOTS of pedaling. But by the end of the ride my lungs felt like they were on fire...pain...a sure sign I'm still alive!
