Atomlab Components is excited to announce (a bit late) our wheel team for 2014.

Though the roster is small, our riders go big! Senior team member Kelly McGarry is starting a second decade with Atomlab Components. The Red Bull Rampage People's Choice Award winner is back at it this year aboard our recently released DHR SL rim. New to the team is Canadian ripper and beard enthusiast Garrett Robertson. Fresh off his win at the GoPro Games in Colorado, Garrett will join Kelly in Nuremberg, Germany for the Red Bull District Ride this fall. Also new to Atomlab is Estonia's Triinu Laurits. The former Baltic States DH Champion is now focusing her dirt days freeriding for Corsair Bikes. Triinu's Corsair teammate Richard Fert pumps out technical style aboard a full Atomlab set-up. Our last rider also happens to be our favorite trials' rider; Danny MacAskill. We are stoked that Danny relies on Atomlab rims for his rolling stock.

All team riders use Atomlab rims that feature our proprietary Torque Nipples. Torque Nipples are stronger and lighter (20g per wheel) than traditional brass nipples. Their wide alloy base provides more surface area to build a stronger and stiffer wheel. Additionally, the connection at the spoke hole has a larger pivot range which reduces stress on the spokes. Torque Nipples can be used with any manufacturer’s 14 straight gauge and 14 gauge butted spokes.

The new DHR SL is available in both 650b and standard shredder sizes. These are Kelly and Garrett's go-to rims for their big bikes. Look for an upcoming Pinkbike test of the new DHR SL rims and Pimplite 102 hubs!

Props to Kelly. WTF is Atomlab even a company anymore? I've broken 2 rear hubs in half in the last couple years, No return emails, no phone number that's still in service, this equals terrible customer service, and junk for hubs. Nice F-in warranty, Beat It Atomlab, I was already over you, No your not back.. Also Props to Hacksaw!

No doubt, there customer service is a joke. I ran a bunch of there stuff until I got a pair of pedals that we absolute shit and they did absolutely nothing to help me out. Definitely the last time I run atom lab on my bikes. There's too many companies out there that actually care about there customers to keep on with them. Hate to bash a company like that but I can't stand when I spend hundreds of dollars on parts to get no help when I need it.

We are sorry to hear about both your issues. We are now building up North American customer service and the previous issues we had with our support system in the US and Canada. While we build up, any questions or issues can be sent to dh@derhawk.com.tw

I've got an atomlab wheel that I put on my bike after tacoing my alienation rim. Their wheels kick ass! Light as F!

Does this mean people might be able to actually buy 24" Pimplites in the UK or even in Europe. They have been nearly impossible to buy in the past two/three years.
