It ups the rear travel to 130mm and reworks the leverage ratio to be more progressive, so you get a way more bottomless feel out back — I can just push into stuff I used to hold back on. Shock performance and responsiveness both step up too. Only trade-off I've noticed is it's a touch less snappy climbing compared to the original link, but for how I ride, that's a fair trade for what you get on the way down. Original link is included too if you'd rather run it stock. Condition This bike has been well cared for and is in excellent condition. The frame is currently wrapped, which protects the paint and keeps things looking clean without me chasing every new chip with touch-up (I went through a phase of filling scratches with gold enamel, Wabi-Sabi style — looked cool, but I got tired of the upkeep, haha). Underneath, the paint is a beautiful metallic sparkle with normal scratches and paint chips from trail riding — all superficial, no gouges or cracks in the carbon. See pics for details. 2024 Orbea Rise H30 Custom – Aluminum – Shimano EP6 – 540Wh — $3500 Bought new in Feb 2025 as a stock H30. A few rides in, it was obvious the stock build wasn’t going to cut it for what I wanted — so I upgraded the suspension, wheels, tires, brakes, bars, pedals, and drivetrain. What started as an H30 is now a lightweight, aggressive, seriously capable PNW trail/enduro e-bike that somehow still keeps the Rise’s playful, natural feel. Why aluminum? For PNW riding — rocks, roots, mud, truck beds, general abuse — I want a workhorse under me, not a showpiece. Carbon’s great if weight is the priority; I wanted a frame I didn’t have to baby. THE BUILD Frame: Orbea Rise H30 aluminum Front Suspension: FOX 38 Factory, 160mm Rear Suspension: DVO Jade X coil, 150mm, Sprindex adjustable spring Wheels: DT Swiss FR 541 rims (29”) + DT Swiss 350 hubs, front & rear Brakes: Lewis LH4 4-piston, 220mm front / 203mm rear rotor Drivetrain: New e13 sprocket and new cranks, minimal ride time Motor: Shimano EP6, 540Wh battery Bars (buyer’s choice): CRD Racing carbon or Pivot carbon — the pictured PNW risers are not included Saddle: WTB Pivot saddle included (pictured saddle is not — I’m keeping that one) How it rides: The 160/150 FOX-DVO combo transformed the bike — still light and maneuverable, but way more bike under you when things get steep or fast. The Sprindex coil lets you dial in spring rate instead of being stuck with one fixed rate. The Lewis LH4s are my favorite upgrade. Massive stopping power, but the modulation is the real story — they’re not an on/off switch. You can feather them through tech terrain or slam on the anchors when the trail points down, and either way you’re in control. DT Swiss FR 541s + 350 hubs give the whole build a planted, “I could ride through a small building” confidence that matches the suspension and brakes. The EP6 motor is why I like the Rise in general — it assists without making you feel like a passenger. You’re still pedaling and picking lines, it just helps you climb higher and squeeze in more laps. With 540Wh, you can easily chase 3,000+ feet of elevation and still have juice left. Bottom line: This isn’t a full-power e-bike built to haul you up a mountain effortlessly — if that’s what you want, there are bigger bikes for that job. This is a Rise that still feels like a mountain bike, but opens up terrain and bigger days that would otherwise require me becoming an Olympic athlete. Aluminum, sturdy, playful, aggressive, capable — the version of this bike I wanted from day one. Ready for serious PNW riding. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest this frame needs no introduction. Born and bread to do anything you can throw at it. Honestly it has been one the best bikes I have ever owned and ridden. Being a local up here in Washington state and ridding the terrain that the bike was intended for it leaves you smiling the whole time. Weather its steep n deep s… you’re pants, pissing rain, roots, rocks, jumps, it does it all and asks for more. Don’t be fooled I’m 6’ and 220lbs and a medium with 50mm stem worked amazing. It keeps the bike more compact for tight turns and the ability to flick it and nose bonk every side hit that’s in front of you. Frame has protection on it currently. Minor spots of rubbing against other bikes when loaded up in my truck. Guys I’m being honest this bike isn’t some garage Queen. It’s has been ridden in every imaginable condition up here and always my favorite weapon of choice. Just put the new fox float x2 3 rides ago. Did the warranty thing and got a new one from fox direct. Kept the seat post cable inside the frame.

This is my custom 2018 Transition Patrol (size large). Has some normal scratches and wear like any mountain bike should if it gets to go outside. This bike is not a garage queen its purpose is to go fast downhill and cover anything the mountain can throw at you while still maintaining composure. Custom rear avalanche suspension, running a fox 500x2.08 I also have a 400lb that ill throw in as well. The build consists of: Shimano XT brakes (plenty of life left on the pads just had them bled 2 months ago) Shimano XT derailleur Shimano XT cranks Marzocchi bomber fork (170mm) Marzocchi bomber coil (custom build from avalanche suspension) (valved for my weight 208lbs) but its good from 190 to 210 I believe. Deity components Rockshox Reverb (works still but needs to be rebuilt) Novatec Diablo rims, with Novatec Factor hubs( 6 pawl free hub body, 60 tooth ratchet ring instant engagement at low speed cranking Comes with Cush Core, front and rear S&M Hoder grips for all you bmx people out there. Maxxis DFH 2 and DHR2 still some life left on them. Bearings are 1 year old pivot bushings are the same. WTB saddle that’s super comfy, ill thrown in the diety one that I have as well. I have loved this bike and have rode all over with it. From crazy steep single track with huge roots…. like only Washington can provide, to XC and dirt jumping, and yes it does petal up hill haha. This bike really is a do it all machine, it will handle anything you can throw at it. The build is rock solid and won’t leave you with much to improve. This bike is adult owned and I’m am a very avid rider I can’t speak highly enough about this bike and the build.
