Transition Covert 26 Review
I have just got the 2012 Covert and have ridden it about 5 times so far. It is awesome - but then I was coming from a 2009 Trek Fuel EX 8 which is a different beast entirely! My Covert still has 150 at the rear and it still seems pretty bottomless to me, even on some medium sized jumps. I am using it as a 1- bike quiver killer, and will be doing 30km trail rides along with uplift days and a summer trip to the Alps. Just switch the pedals over and put a full-face on!

Feb 19, 2013Trek Fuel EX 8 - - Medium - PRICE DROP
$800 GBPHere is my beloved Trek for sale. It is an awesome trail bike with 130 up front and 120 travel at the back and has never let me down. I bought it new from Activ, my LBS in Folkestone, Kent in summer 2009. She has been well used but also well looked after. It has some paint chips and cable rub as any 2009 bike will have. It has just had a service at Activ and the forks and shock got sent of to TF Tuning and are running super smooth. This was only 1 ride ago and cost nearly £300.
The spec is mostly standard, with Fox Float 32 (with lockout) forks, and Fox Float RP2 (with propedal), SLX/XT groupset, Avid Juicy 5 brakes, and Bontrager finishing kit.
As you can see in the pics, I am running it 1 x 9 with a chain guide from Superstar Components although included are the other chain rings, front mech and shifter with cable.
I run a tubeless setup with Bontrager rim tape and valve and Stan's Sealant. Maaxxis High Roller LUST up front (£50) and Specialized The Captain out back. I can give you a couple of tubes if you want to change back.
The pics also show an Easton handlebar and stem and which I am planning on keeping although I am open to offers. You will get the original white stem and alloy bars when I find them!
Pedals not included.
I live in West London and may be able to deliver within reason.
Ben
