Pinkbike Poll: Do You Cycle to Keep Healthy? Or Keep Healthy to Ride?
For me, Mountain Biking is now an infrequent special treat that I get to look forward to. These days, I refrain from pushing my skills, testing my fitness, and riding frequently on the bike to minimize the risk of getting another concussion. Instead, I mostly rely on concussion risk-averse activities like trail-running, hiking, cross-training, and whiplash-focused physiotherapy exercises for general health purposes and fitness. However, I do still cherish hitting the occasional jump and trail riding with the boys though.

Shimano Introduces New 'Linkglide' Drivetrain Technology with Bold Longevity Claims
This is literally my dream drivetrain. If this is reasonably priced, after I finish off my current GX cassette, this is going on the bike. Love the emphasis on durability over weight, and the ability to replace the 11-15 tooth cogs where I always end up getting those shark-fins!

Interview: Kate Courtney on Head Injuries, World Champs & Recovery
Great article. Concussions are serious and seem rather overlooked in general. From experience, Symptoms can definitely persist far after the main event is over, even with proper treatment. Unfortunately, I personally have had far to many concussions (recovering from the aftermath of number 6 right now). I am honestly surprised, that Kate hasn’t had more being a profession mountain biker. Don’t mess with your brain, and take concussion prevention + protocol seriously!

This bike is a classic hardtail that Canfield Brothers made from 2013-2015. It is made out of 4130 Chromoly, built for 29" wheels, and has sliding dropouts that go from 412mm-430mm. The Canfield Nimble 9 is known for its poppy, playful, nimble, and grin-inducing nature. My Nimble 9 is currently set up single-speed with 32X16 gearing, and the sliding dropouts slammed forward. I will include a used 10spd XT cassette and other gearing options for the drivetrain. I will also include extra goodies pertaining to the bike like extra dropouts in the sale as well! General Specs: Candy Red Generation 2 Nimble 9 with QR 135 sliding dropouts. Rockshox Pike RCT3 Damper set to 120mm of travel that had a lower-leg service 12 hours ago. **Note** the fork has a small chip in the uppers that does not affect performance. Sun Ringle Charger Aluminum Wheelset (15X100mm front and 135QR rear) both 29" hoops. Shimano Deore 2 piston brakes 2.4" Maxxis Ardent Tires Front and Rear. Thanks for looking!
