NukeProof Cub-Scout 24 Kids Mountain Bike 2023. Used. Owned this since new (July 2023) and it's been well-maintained and had full frame and fork protection but on from new. The bike is in a used condition with the frame protection doing is job well, however it does have cosmetic marks where the protection was not applied, it is mechanically sound (has a few small marks on the stanchion that have never affected performance or seals - see pictures). We also upgraded it with a BrandX Ascend Seat Dropper, Chain Guide and Nukeproof bottle cage and pedals. More info on the Furtado: One of the most interesting figures on the new Furtado is the chainstay length, or, more accurately due to the fact that the chainstay is attached to a link rather than the bottom bracket shell, the rear centre figure (the distance from the centre of the bottom bracket axle to the centre of the rear wheel axle). As the frames increase in size, the rear centre grows in length. Juliana says this has been done to ensure each rider, no matter what size, is as well balanced on the bike and between the wheels as possible. It’s something a number of other brands currently do, although they tend to be smaller manufacturers, so it’s great to see a powerhouse such as Juliana/Santa Cruz roll out something like this.

This short-travel pocket rocket is packaged to be fast and nimble yet tough enough to take a beating. From dirt to rocky tech, 4X to BMX, this bike doesn’t give a XXXX what you do with it. The 5010’s balance and poise takes riders from uncertain neophyte to fledging flyboy. While some bikes are good at going up and down the 5010 is a bike that’s great at going up, down, left, right, triangle, square, up, up, up and away! The upper-link driven shock VPP suspension is configured to be sharp and responsive. A firm beginning stroke makes for a responsive, snappy pedaling and provides support for small bump, bump-jump playfulness, while the progressive curve offers the bottom-out resistance to make it feel like there’s a lot more travel than there actually is. There’s also more than enough tire clearance to run just about any size tire. We spec a variety of tire/rim combos, including 2.6-inch tires on Reserve 37 rims because we feel it’s the sweet spot of rock crawling traction and sportiness, but there’s room to run 2.8-inch tires if that’s your thing.
