Race Report: Enduro Sweden Series Finale in Isaberg

The Enduro Series Sweden final caravan arrived at Isaberg Mountain Resort in Småland on the October 12/13th weekend for the final round of the series. Isaberg offered up an abundance of steep, loamy stages however the weather in the run of to race day had a big impact, heavy rain and lots of riders practicing the stages on Friday and Saturday saw deeps ruts in the loam quickly appear laced with a web of fresh wet roots.

Despite being dry on race day the hill was heavily saturated still, queue an fair few mechanicals and wash outs. This didn't dampen spirits, being the final of the series there were good vibes all round and with riders all sticking around to cheer on others once their race was done, numerous spectators too! The highlight of the day had to be stage 6, a super steep loamy descent through the dark forest with trees and rocks to avoid. It was lined with fans from the top to the bottom creating an insane atmosphere as riders navigated their way down trying to stay in control, some opting to just death grip and hope for the best. Probably the best tactic given the wet root traps ready to snatch the front wheel with any flutter of braking on them.

All in all another great event by the Enduro Sweden Series team and the trail builders at Isaberg, all the work under the radar doesn't go unnoticed. Also shout out to all the riders and fans to which these events would be nothing without!
