YT Shows Off Erik Fedko's Custom Dirt Jump Bike for Crankworx Rotorua
@heatedcheese: It does look very similar to the Smartweed process that Specialized have been using for a while but I don't think the process is that unique, I'd be surprised if Specialized were able to patent the process (could be wrong of course as it is the big S). I'd love more detail on the welds around the headtube, it does look like a headtube lug/piece. Maybe there is some kind of insert in the headtube to help strengthen it as I'd be surprised is the normal smartweld type process would be strong enough for DJ.

"It Will be a Party" - Peter Sagan Plans to Race the eMTB World Champs
@mattwragg: Worked picture desks at events run by similar governing bodies, this would make sense.

He injured his hand recently so I'd assume he might still be recovering from that.

Nice shot but feels a bit criminal to have a Kodak Portra film border with a black and white image... Portra colours are the bomb

Racing Rumours: 5 Possible Changes for the 2023 World Cup Season (Warner Off Commentary Confirmed)
@chakaping: It's shocking really especially as given the size of DH, it wouldn't be impossible to riders and team to leave and form their own federation and series. That would leave the UCI with nothing! It's happened before and there is already a platform that could be utilised, imaging a bit of a cash injection to the IXS cup with backing from riders and teams. There are sports where they thrive beyond the normal federation/governing body model. I think the UCI needs to start treading very carefully and the form of a rider union is just the beginning, the fact that it is backed by most of the biggest names in DH is saying something.

Racing Rumours: 5 Possible Changes for the 2023 World Cup Season (Warner Off Commentary Confirmed)
Warner going from DH is like the passing of Murray Walker / F1, he is so intrinsically tied to the sport that it will be almost impossible to replace. Not saying there isn't other good commentators out there but since the passing of Murray Walker there has been a hole left in F1 which takes time to be filled, this will be exactly the same. The UCI & ESO actions up to this point have been pretty disgraceful in my opinion, it seems that riders and teams know almost nothing about the 2023 yet we're over the hump of the 2022 season. With so much secrecy and speculation how can riders, teams, manufactures and venues properly prepare? Capping the elite mens field to 30 riders will have a huge detrimental effect on the sport, it's not uncommon for a rider to have a less good qualifying only to pull a blinder of a race run and leave with a great result. There is just too many variables in DH which is what makes it unlike so many other sports. There needs to be some clear communication from the UCI and ESO pretty quickly to establish what is to be expected next season, done properly with rider briefings and full public press releases. Neither party is doing themselves an favours by the current secrecy. The formation of a rider union and frustration from fans is apparent of the negative perspective from those not involved in the negotiations.

Video: Alma Wiggberg Styles Slope Jumps in 'Esperanto'
Alma is developing so fast, heard her name pop up a few years back and since then she’s gone from being an over enthusiastic grom to a proper freerider. Cool to see her name popup on the Pinkbike homepage but also see this sick edit.
