Problems of SOME UK Trail Centers

A snack after my ride turned into a bit of a disappointment.

Took a ride down on Sherwood Pines for a spring ride and to get back into the saddle, as university life was starting to take its toll of the finesse of my well tuned body. It was a toss up between going to Cannock Chase and Sherwood Pines but due to the excess of April snow in this part of England I decided against Cannock.

Whilst checking if Sherwood Pines was open I was on their Facebook page, and found that there was a distressed commenter whom had their bike stolen at the trail center, and was checking if anyone could help (it was actually a rather nice bike, a lapierre zesty, not my kind of bike but I can still appreciate it). So after reading this comment I found myself rather cautious about leaving my car and my bike unattended and kept everything locked up. After my ride I thought that I would reward myself with a Rocky Road, this is not an interesting trail feature but instead a chocolate coved biscuit with marshmallows on top, and I was so busy watching my bike from thieves I had my Rocky Road stolen from behind me.

As it turned out some people on the table behind me had watched a kid walk up grab the sweet snack and then run. So this got me thinking there is a abundance of screaming children around the centers that it almost takes it away from the enjoyment of the center so I recommend trail centers to create some sort of segregation from these ruffians or place yourselves far away from cities so that we only get the most devoted.

Other than that fantastic day, I was so busy keeping my bike safe that I lost my snack.
