Visiting Victoria area. Where should I ride? Closest I've ridden in the past is Cumberland, which was fun. Eying Harbourview on Trailforks, is it solid?

All the riding areas are good, you just need to find the right trails. Best bet is to go into the LBS and chat them up.

Its good black tech/flow. You may or may not feel the flow your first time down.

Areas close to Victoria, Hartland about 20 mins from Downtown, some solid trails in Sooke, about 30 40 mins up the west coast. Maple Mountain for XC Enduro about an hour from Vic, and Prevost for DH that you can shuttle, this is where Steve Smith trained also about an hour away. Nanaimo for some great technical downhill and xc, plus The Steve Smith Bike Park, about and hour and a half from Vic.

Closest you'll get is under the pines in Springs or Darkside.. but nothing beats PNW dirt....nothing. lol Deff make that trip.
