Pinkbike Awards: Cast Your Vote in the Reader's Choice Poll
NO LOVE for Cecile???? Chic won every Enduro race she entered and even a few DH podiums. She damn near won every Enduro stage of the season. Fastest woman on the planet and likely faster than all but a handful of the guys. Give her some props people!!

Pinkbike Awards: Best Performance Nominees
1. Martin Maes for the win..DH that is. Single most impressive feat in any discipline of biking this season! 2. Nicholai....consistency all season while throwing the biggest and most progressive tricks and 1st ever to win the Triple Crown! 3. Hill---everyone knows he's the GOAT, so its too easy to give him the award. 4. Kate Courtney tied with Jolanda Neff---who wouldn't like to see that happen..lol. But seriously impressive efforts by both women. I'd give the edge to Kate in a tiebreak as her performance came at World Champs.

Pinkbike Awards: Athlete of the Year Nominees
Cecile hands down! She won every race and damn near every stage, usually with a huge margin back to 2nd. She would probably beat half the men in the field on any given week. She also got a couple top 5's in the DH races she entered. 2. Maes---so young yet..hes gonna win everything soon...and i think he should win Performance of the Year Award for his DH win. 3. Pierron--impressive for sure..but too many heavy hitters out with injury to really gauge his year. i.e. Gwin & Minnaar 4. Holl--too young yet....but perhaps the next Cecile

Podcast: Off Season Workouts From Adam Brayton's Coach
Bike in summer, ski in winter. Do a lot of both and you'll always be in shape. I don't do much weight lifting as injury is such a high risk. I ski with a few people who are always in the gym doing squats and deadlifts. They cant ski more than half a day before their legs are fried. But I'm good for 20-30k of vert per day before I get tired. Same thing on the bike in the summer. All those muscles are just not that important in biking and skiing. Both sports are more of a finesse, balance, flexibility type of sport than pure strength. Yoga and cardio are probably where one should spend most of their time to "get fit" for cycle sports. Strength training such as push ups, pull ups, and sit ups are probably all ya really need to succeed....put dem weights down goofball before you hurt yourself...unless you going out for football or wrestling.
