First Ride: OneUp Launches $599 Aluminum Wheelset
I had the ratchets on a DT DEG hub fail on me after only a couple rides from new. The ratchets were sticking in the hub shell and not extending fully to engage, likely due to too much grease from the factory. It was covered under warranty. The replacement star ratchets didn't have performance issues, but there was some chipping on the teeth after a few months of riding.
My take is that this design is sensitive to proper maintenance and greasing, compared to a high-quality pawl mechanism.

The gear side used to be more interesting as well, with riders trying different things to optimize tradeoffs for the variety of tracks in a course. Now, with more consistent courses, everybody runs a similar type of setup and it's less exciting.

Lewis LHP+ U4 brakes + 200 mm rotors
$550 CADUsed these 5 times, ended up going a different direction. Includes 2x 200 mm 2.3 mm thick Lewis rotors. Hope sintered metallic pads installed. Hoses cut for 170 mm fork and size medium bike - a brand new uncut hose is included as well. Also includes some extra bits - stock pads, extra fittings, SRAM MMX shifter mount.

It would be helpful to know where the non-adjustable bite point position is relative to the Evo Pro's adjustment range. I haven't run my Evo Pros with anything other than the shortest lever throw (which isn't that short). If these are set similarly, might as well save the money.

SRAM Releases Maven B1 Brakes - Lighter Action, Similar Power
I'm not fussed on the contact adjustment - I generally end up running it with the shortest possible free stroke anyway. The dealbreaker for me on the Base is the bushings on the lever pivot. From by experience with Code R vs RSC, the bearing pivot holds up much better over time.
