First Look: Ibis' New Ripmo AF is Coil-Compatible & Aluminum
DVO suspension? No fox? The 36 with a grip 2 damper / luftkappe can’t be beat.
I don’t trust the DVO products as they’re new to the business. Nobody carries parts for DVO... just the last thing one needs when on a trip and the fork needs maintenance..And a company which does not likely stand by its warranty nor has readily available parts at your small local bike shop.
I wonder why Ibis chose to go with DVO in The first place.. I don’t see what the hype is about with this company..
Why not manitou ? Fox? Trust even?

First Ride: Santa Cruz Megatower
The reviews of this bike suggest that the megatower will blow the ripmo out of the water.
Ripmo / HD4 cant run a coil either ...
Seems far more stable in rough conditions than the ripmo, far better climber etc etc
I will agree that Ibis’s spec is better than Santa Cruz. Even with the downgraded spec it looks like SC MT will more than makeup the downgraded spec in superior handling..
This being said, the ripmo isn’t a BAD bike..
Definitely made a bad decision will be selling mine! The only issue is I won’t be able to afford the entry level mega tower with the sale of my custom ripmo :p

First Ride: Santa Cruz Megatower
And I recently built up and ibis ripmo... blahh .. I’m regretting that move! Move aside ibis ripmo .. and make way for the mega tower! Looks like ibis dropped the ball and “ bike is the year” was premature for those guys.
