Field Test: 2021 Specialized Epic EVO S-Works - The Most Versatile
@chunwangchi: LBS tried to warranty it but it sounded like the process was going to be quite lengthy (I guess I'm not Pinkbike) so they just sent it off for repair and are covering the cost. My fear though is that it gets rebuilt the way it was and it happens again, rather than getting the real warranty issue taken care of.

Field Test: Transition Spur - Made to Descend
@DetroitCity: What exactly happened to your fork that required warranty? In addition to the bushing play reported here and elsewhere, I got the new SID Select+ on my new Epic Evo Expert, 12 rides/150 miles in and the damper failed. In the top half of the stroke there is zero damping compression or rebound, and the fork makes a LOT of clanking noise. If you go deeper into the stroke it does show SOME damping behavior. If you lock the fork out it doesn't make any difference until you compress the fork to about half stroke and then it finally feels like it hits the lockout and the travel stops. Haven't noticed any fluid leaks. It's almost like something in the damper broke or came loose to where the damper has ZERO effect until you get halfway through the travel. I have never loved RockShox forks but I was getting along pretty well with this one until it broke, pretty disappointing.

@Eviljarv: Weird. Those actually look exactly like the ones I bought to replace the stock cranks on my Expert Evo. Maybe they're the GX carbon cranks rebranded for OEM?

@Eviljarv: The "X1" crank I took off my Expert was definitely aluminum, and weighed 104g more than the X01 carbon crank I replaced it with per my scale.
